A little while ago I told you that I have pulled all of the Zombie A.C.R.E.S. books from marketplaces. I explained this was done due to fixing a little over eagerness on my end. This is going to extend to the free stories on ZombieACRES.com, as well. I will be pulling all of the free stories off the site, and re-releasing the newly edited versions of them. This will give everyone a chance to become reacquainted with the world of Zombie A.C.R.E.S. through the free stories and bring my writing up to the standard that you deserve. It should be noted that not all stories will be returning. With the re-writing, some are going to be exclusives in AiZ: Alice in Zombieland (Complete Saga) when it comes out this spring in ebook and paperback. Others will lay on the cutting room floor as completely sub par zombie feed. I am going to try and get the stories pulled down tonight, so if you want to see the rough drafts, now is your chance at The Story So Far.
This does not mean that there will be no new free stories, so don’t worry. I plan on having the very first story in the new Zombie A.C.R.E.S. saga on the site March 23. You heard right, the new FREE Zombie A.C.R.E.S. stories will be coming back on Friday, March 23, only at ZombieACRES.com.
To get a sneak peek at some of these new edits, as well as a glimpse into the new AiZ: Alice in Zombieland (Complete Saga) book, download The Boy Who Cried Zombie – A Zombie A.C.R.E.S. Sampler for free now. This new book features three classic Zombie A.C.R.E.S. stories with a whole new voice. These stories went through more than just a few grammar changes. I really tried to change the feel of the scenes by adding in a bit of my own blood right where it was needed.
Come and read the story that started it all, The Interview. Hear William Lohman, the face of death that Roslun Global has decided to prance around in dark rooms, tell the world of the horrors that Richard Roslun was having done under the guise of helping man. Had it not been for this one man, the world of Zombie A.C.R.E.S. as we know it, may have never been the same.
In Tough Love, we first meet two sisters who are thrown into a world of zombies and danger. Georgia ‘Gee’ Marie is a normal nineteen year college kid. She likes to hang out with her friends, does well in school, smokes a little weed, and has a generally happy life. Then she comes back to visit her father one day. Instead of finding her father, Gee finds her stepmother – eating Gee’s young stepbrother! Over in the corner of the yard is Alice, Gee’s sixteen year old stepsister. There is no time for Gee to register what caused any of this before action must be taken.
The final story in this free Zombie A.C.R.E.S. sampler is The Boy Who Cried Zombie. Fans have always been drawn to this story over any of the other Sam and Heather stories. I don’t know if it is because the title is so awesome (cause it is, you know it), or because each one of us knows (or is) a Sam Ashe. In the story, we meet Sam Ashe, a horror geek that has grown up in a world with zombies. Just like any of us would, he spends his whole life loving all things horror, especially those pesky walking dead. One day he sees a Dirty leg Dragger outside his Seattle apartment, and it is one. His first instinct is to save his fiancee, Heather Young. Instead of staying home with Sam, Heather has gone to her friend’s house for a girl’s night in. Can Sam hope on The Chariot and save Heather before time runs out for the both of them?
Right now the only place to find the free book The Boy Who Cried Zombie is at Smashwords.com. I expect it to be available for free on Amazon soon, but right now all Kindle users can go to the Smashwords page for The Boy Who Cried Zombie and download one for free. Please, and I cannot stress this part enough, if you like this free Zombie A.C.R.E.S. sampler, share it with your friends via the sharing tools and give it a good review.
